Ingredients:
For the Cajun Salmon and Shrimp:
2 salmon fillets
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for extra heat)
Directions:
Prepare the Salmon and Shrimp:
Season the salmon fillets and shrimp with Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and lemon juice.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the salmon fillets to the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked through and golden brown. Remove the salmon and set it aside.
In the same skillet, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp and set them aside.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
Stir in the lemon zest and red pepper flakes (if using). Let the sauce simmer for a minute to allow the flavors to combine.
Assemble the Dish:
Return the cooked salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the garlic butter sauce over them.
Let everything simmer together for 2-3 minutes, ensuring the salmon and shrimp are coated with the flavorful sauce.
Sprinkle fresh parsley over the dish before serving.
