Clam Chowder in Sourdough Bread Bowl

Ingredients:

– 4 cups clam chowder
– 4 sourdough bread bowls
– 1 cup diced potatoes
– 1 cup chopped celery
– 1 cup chopped onions
– 2 cups chopped clams
– 4 cups milk or cream
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 teaspoon thyme
– Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

1. Grab a large pot and melt that butter over medium heat. Toss in the chopped onions, celery, and diced potatoes, giving them a gentle sauté until they soften.
2. It’s time to add the star of the show! Stir in those chopped clams, a sprinkling of thyme, and season with salt and pepper. Let it cook for just a few more minutes to blend those flavors beautifully.
3. Now, pour in the milk or cream and bring it all to a gentle simmer. Keep an eye on it and let it cook until it thickens up just right.
4. While your chowder is simmering away, let’s get the sourdough bowls ready! Cut off the tops and carefully hollow them out, creating little edible boats for your chowder.
5. Once your clam chowder is ready, ladle it generously into those freshly made bread bowls and serve them up immediately. Trust me, your guests will be in heaven!
