Ingredients
For the Steak:
2 ribeye steaks
4 cloves garlic (smashed)
2 sprigs fresh rosemary or thyme
3 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika
Salt & black pepper to taste
2 tbsp olive oil
For the Fries:
4 medium russet potatoes (cut into fries)
3 tbsp olive oil
Salt & black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Prepare the Fries: Toss sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt & pepper, then bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 mins or until crispy.
Season the Steak: Pat dry, then season with garlic powder, paprika, salt & pepper.
Pan-Sear the Ribeye: Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat. Sear steaks for 3-4 mins per side (for medium-rare).
Add Garlic Butter: Lower heat, add butter, garlic, and rosemary. Baste steaks with melted butter for 1-2 mins.
Rest & Serve: Let steaks rest for 5 mins, then serve with crispy fries and garnish with fresh parsley.
Tip: For Gordon Ramsay-style steak, press the steak down while searing for even crust formation!
