Ingredients:

1 1/4 cups ketchup

2 tablespoons yellow mustard

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar (for tang)

1 tablespoon lemon juice (brightens the flavor)

2 teaspoons soy sauce (adds umami)

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/4 teaspoon hot sauce (like Tabasco – optional, for a kick)

1 tablespoon brown sugar (optional, balances acidity)

 

Instructions:

1. Combine Ingredients:

In a small saucepan, whisk together all ingredients.

2. Simmer:

Bring the mixture to a low simmer over medium heat.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 15–20 minutes, stirring occasionally. The sauce will thicken slightly.

3. Cool and Store:

Let cool completely.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
