Ingredients:
2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (about 1 inch thick)
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 oz fettuccine or your favorite pasta
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish
Optional: Red pepper flakes for a kick!
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
Prepare the Steak: Season the steaks generously with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare (adjust time for your preferred doneness). Remove from the skillet and let rest.
Sauté the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if desired. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Alfredo Sauce: In the same skillet, pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a bit of the reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
Combine Everything: Add the cooked pasta to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat. Then, gently fold in the sautéed shrimp.
Plate the Feast: Slice the rested steak and serve it alongside the creamy shrimp Alfredo pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan if desired.
Enjoy: Dig in and savor every bite of this luxurious meal! ️
